It’s interesting as somebody with limited experience in filmmaking to watch experienced people do their stuff. Our director of photography, Stuart, immediately looks at a location for its potential to be visually interesting. That doesn’t mean it needs to be some breathtaking vista, contain beautiful décor, or to be aesthetically mesmerizing, but just that it’s not going to be bland and unappealing and have the audience’s eyes slide right off it. The S Blog: Stuart, Steve, and Seth
Slow-to-almost-no progress this week, as our director of photographer, Stuart Jaymes, has developed pneumonia. We did film one brief scene for a montage, as that had required us (well, Maria) to notify and arrange permission for us to film a Taekwondo class. But for that scene, our sound guy, Bil Chute (who’s also a director of photography) took over. All our other scenes (and it was going to be a busy weekend) were postponed.
